ANNOUNCEMENTS

General:

Awaken Kids has one immediate need and a few anticipated needs for some Sunday Service volunteers. If you or anyone you know have ever wanted to see what serving with the kids during Sunday Service is like and would be interested in a “trial run,“ these are a few ways to get involved. Below are the positions that we are needing to fill.

  • 1 Volunteer (Helper Role) in the Kindergarten Class ~ immediate need ~

  • 1 Volunteer in Toddler Room (starting in Spring/April)

  • 2 Volunteers in the Nursery (starting in Spring/April)

  • 1 Volunteer in the Preschool Class (starting in Spring/April)

  • 1 Volunteer (Helper Role) in the Preschool Class (June, July, August only)

    If you would like more information about these volunteer roles or are interested in filling any of them, please contact or speak with Beth Steckel (beth@awakencolumbus.com).

For Volunteers:

1) We want to hear from you about how this year is going for you so far. Please fill out this form for volunteers by the end of January. This will help us continue to improve and support you. We will use your responses to plan a short mid-year refresh (info below). Thank you in advance for your time!

2) We will be having an optional mid-year refresher training on February 1st right after the service. Mark your calendars — we hope you can join us! The time will be short and simple, directed at answering and addressing people’s questions and providing ongoing volunteer support. No childcare will be provided for this short and informal time.

For Families:

Mark your calendars for Awaken’s 4th annual Cereal Party on February 28th from 9-11AM. Families can come wearing PJs, watch some cartoons, do some crafts, eat some cereal, and spend time with other Awaken families. It has been such great fun the past three years- we hope you can join us!

REMINDER

The next parents night out is Saturday, January 10th from 5-9 PM at the church. The cost is $10 per child. For more info/to sign up, click here before Sunday, January 4th.
