Membership
At Awaken, we encourage regular attenders to become members. But what does church membership mean, and why do we do it? Church membership is one practical way of helping our attenders identify with and commit to our local expression of Christ’s universal church. By taking the membership class, signing the membership commitment statement, and participating in a pastoral interview, those who become Awaken members can truly say, “I belong here.” We require membership as a prerequisite to serving in our children’s, hospitality, prayer, or worship teams.
