Baptism

We joyfully obey Christ’s command in Matthew 28: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Baptism is the believer’s primary method of publicly identifying as a follower of Jesus. At Awaken, we practice believer’s baptism, so we only baptize those who have already made an independent profession of faith. For children, we would like to see candidates for baptism be at least 10 years old.
