ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Our next Parent’s Night Out will be Saturday, October 4th from 5-9pm at the church. The cost is $10 per child. To get more info and to sign up, click here. Spots are limited, so sign up before Saturday, September 27th if you would like your children to attend!
We have found a Homegroup resource for families to use with their kids during homegroup time. Many families are familiar with the “Superbook” TV series. Resources that supplement each episode’s content and overall lesson can be found on the “Superbook” website. Any Homegroups looking for an organized, ready-made, and engaging thing to do with their kids during group, are welcome to check this out!
To get started, use this link to view the “Superbook” Episode Guide webpage. Once there, you will see a list of episodes starting with the most recent at the top. Scroll to your desired episode and select “Discover More.” From there, you will need to scroll down to the “Family Discussion Guide.” Once you follow that link, a PDF will open displaying the resource that contains questions and prayer prompts to be used in whatever format best fits your group time.
Tips: Seasons 1-3 are on Amazon Prime, and seasons 4 & 5 can be watched by setting up a free account on the “Superbook” website. Lastly, the episodes are labeled as follows: Season 5 — 500s, Season 4 — 400s, Season 3 — 300s — and so on and so forth.
REMINDER:
The 2025 Awaken Retreat is on Sunday, September 7! Childcare will be provided for the 3s + 4s age group as well as K-2nd grade.
Programming will include a mix of indoor lessons and outdoor activities, so please have your child ready to play outside by ensuring they are dressed for the weather, are toting their favorite water bottles, and wearing SPF and bug spray!
Children ages 0-2 in addition to children in 3rd grade and up will be with their families during the sessions.
Note: Families with children 0-2 will have a nursery/cry room that can be used, but this will not be staffed by Awaken Kids volunteers.
